Description
Carpet making is pure art and the quality depends upon the number of knots used in its making. The process of wrapping yarn around the warp to form a pile is known as knotting. A hand- knotted carpet is made purely by hand using either cotton or wool or a blend of both.
This Carpet is wool on cotton having 144 knots per square inch.
This is a cut pile carpet which means the light is reflected off the fibers in a different manner, making the color of the carpet appear different—either lighter or darker than the original color. This effect can often be noticed simply by looking at your carpet from opposite sides of the room. Look at your carpet from one end of the room, then walk to the other end and turn around, and look back at the carpet.
